How to Print to Shared Printers
You can print from a public computer (lab, classroom, or library) or from your personal device. You can print from anywhere and pick it up at the shared printer of your choosing. To release printing without having to scan use the printer release list.
Printing from a Public Computer:
- Open the file you wish to print
- Print the file using the print option in the program
NOTE: If you want to duplex, make sure to change that setting before printing
- Choose the global queue of your choice
- B&W Global Queue is for black and white
- Color Global Queue is for color
- After clicking print, go to the shared printer of your choice
- Scan the barcode or go to the URL listed in a browser
- Log-in using your ESFiD and ESF password
- At the bottom, click Release
Printing from a Personal Device (Web Print):
Most but not all file formats are supported when printing from a personal device. For any file types not supported, use a public computer to print.
- In a browser, go to https://printing.esf.edu
- Login using your ESFiD and ESF password
- On the right, click Web Print
- In the middle, click Submit a Job
- Click the Global Queue of your choice
- B&W Global Queue is for black and white
- Color Global Queue is for color
- On the bottom right, click Print Options and Account Selection
- In the middle, type the number of copies
- Click Upload Documents
- Upload your documents
- Click Upload & Complete
- Go to the shared printer of your choice
- Scan the barcode or go to the URL listed in a browser
- Login using your ESFiD and ESF password
- At the bottom, click Release
